n Collaboration with the Department of Youth Welfare Panjab University, Chandigarh, the Department of Youth Services, Welfare & Cultural Affairs, Sanatan Dharma College, under the Initiatives of IQAC organized an inter-college online Poem Recitation Competition and Collage Making Competition to Celebrate International Women's Day: Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a Covid-19 World .

IQAC of Sanatan Dharma College Hoshiarpur in collaboration with IQAC of Sant Darbara Singh College of Education for Women Lopon and Alumni Association organized a webinar on the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam .The Webinar was dedicated to International Students' Day. .

A one day online webinar on International Justice Day was organized by IQAC and Equal Opportunity Cell of SDS College of Education for Women, Lopon Moga in collaboration with SD College Hoshiarpur on July 17, 2021. The theme of the day was Social Justice in Digital Economy. Nearly 50 Participants benefitted from this webinar. .

An Online International Webinar was organized on the topic “Emerging Trend in Marketing and Implication for Marketer” under the inchargeship Prof. Manjit Kaur and Dr. Sachin, Department of Commerce, in association with IQAC and in collaboration with Bank of Maharasthra, Kabir Textile, and Malhotra Electronics. The resource person Dr. Priyanka Singh, University of Memphis, Tenancy , USA shared her valuable views on this topic.

The NSS department and department of Physical Education, in association with IQAC, organized a webinar on “Yoga and Health” on the eve of International Yoga Day on 21 June . In the beginning of the webinar Prof. Manpreet Kaur and Prof. Harjyot Kaur introduced the spokespersons and extended a warm welcome to them. Dr. Shivani Sharma, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of Philosophy, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dr. Surbhi Sood, Yoga expert participated in this webinar as spokespersons. Both of them shared their valuable views about the Yoga Mudras and the importance of Yoga in Indian Philosophy. Principal Dr. Nand Kishore appreciated the efforts of the organizing team to organize this fruitful session and congratulated the team for the grand success of the same.

National webinar on Vedic Maths and Career orientation was organised by department of Computer applications in association with Infomaths, Chandigarh on 12th June 2021. Mr. Sudhir Grover demonstrated shortcut tricks to solve tedious mathematical sums . Mrs. Aparna from Infomaths guided students about various streams after Graduation and told them about career oppurtunities available after BCA.

World Environment day was celebrated in campus with full enthusiasm by Red Ribbon club and NSS Department of the College . Principal Dr. Nand Kishor, Dr Gurcharan Singh, Dr. Kamaljit Kaur, Mr. Vipan Kumar, Mr. Harsish and other Faculy members planted various saplings in the college.

Department of Sciences, Bio-Technology & IQAC organised a national webinar on "environment issues & role of green audit in HEI". on 5th june. Dr. Mohinder Kaur (Principal LLR Govt College Dhudike) Was Keynote Speaker

An International webinar on "Green Products and Their implications" was organised by Department of Economics in Collaboration with IQAC on 4th June. Ms. Manmeet Bhamra, Banking Advisor RBC , Langley BC, Canada was resource person. She Highlighted that people should divert from chemical products to Green Products.

S.D. A Nation level webinar on "sensex" was organised by department of commerce in Collaboration with GGDSD college Hariana and,Sri Guru Har Rai College for women , Chabbewal on 02/06/2021.The resource person of the event DR. PARUL KHANNA, Associate Professor , School Of Business Management, Rayat Bahra Group, talked about the BSE:- SENSEX and ITS CALCULATION .

Department of Social science of SD College Hoshiarpur in collaboration with IQAC, Sant Darbara Singh college of education for women Lopon Mogha and CDC,PU Chandigarh organised a One day seminar on "Awareness Regarding Anti-Ragging Policies" on 23/05/2021. Dr. Kuldip singh kalsi shared his views regarding anti ragging polices.

Women Cell in Collaboration With iQAC & in Association with Unicharm India & Global Hunt Foundation (Banglore) organised a National webinar on "Menstrual Heath and Hygiene Management "on 31st May. Mrs. Nitya Chaudhary , CSR Executive Unicharm India was Keynote speaker.

A national level webinar on the subject of Mathematica: An Introduction was organised in the at SD college Hoshiarpur on 26th may by the Department of Science and Bio Technology, in collaboration with IQAC.Dr. Bharti Kapoor (Professor), SGTB Khalsa College, Anandpur Sahib, was keynote speaker.Ms. Bharti kapoor gave information about Mathematica software and also told the advantages of this software so that students can earn profit by using these applications and solve the problems.

A national symposium was organized by the department of History in collaboration with IQAC on the topic 'Virtual Learning - Challenges and Future' on 21st May. Dr. Rajni Bala from University of Delhi and Dr. Mukhtiyar Singh from DAV College Hoshiarpur were present in this symposium as the spokespersons.

IQAC in association with SantDarbara Singh College of Education for Women Lopon, Moga and SD College Hoshiarpur conducted a seven day online National Workshop (15 May 2021 to 21 May 2021) on the topic of "NAAC: Revised Accreditation Framework - Issues and Challenges." The workshop was completed on 21 May under the proper guidance of convener Dr. TriptaParmar (Principal,SantDarabara Singh College of Education for Women, Lopon) andCo-Convener Dr. Nand Kishore (Principal SD College Hoshiarpur) and in the supervision of Dr. HK Dolly (Assistant Professor SantDarbara Singh College of Education for Women Lopon) and Dr. DeepikaThalia (Assistant Professor SD College Hoshiarpur)

Economics organized a one day workshop on Support for Covid-19 Patients with NSS on 14th May . In this Workshop Dr. Palwinder Kaur was the was the key facilitator . While talking to the participants, Dr. palwinder Shared her views about the major causes for the spread of COVID 19. She made aware the students about helping the COVID patients

Department of Psychology organized a national webinar on "Case History Taking"in collaboration with IQAC on 29th april. In this webinar, counselor Mr. Munish Singh, Drug De-Addiction Center, Sekha, Distt. Jalandhar, was the spokesperson. While talking to the participants, Mr. Munish shared valuable information about the major approaches and techniques of taking case history of the patients and psycho patients.

The Department of Fashion designing ,(Asst. Prof Neha )had organized   a two day workshop on Surface Ornamentations on 16/4/2021 to 17/04/2021.Students from Various departments participated in this event.Students learnt block painting , Knitting etc.  

Department of Science, Environment club and NSS Unit of the college Organised a Seminar on World health day on 07/04/2021

Red ribbon club, women cell and NSS Unit of College visited slum areas of the city and distributed sanitary pads, face masks and eco-friendly carry bags. They also made the women aware of personal hygeine as well as cleanliness of their surroundings.

NSS, Red Ribbon Club and NCC unit of the college hold an awareness rally and distributed pamphlets for COVID-19 Vaccination in the adopted village Phadma and neighborhood area. The people were told about the positive impact of vaccination.

The college in collaboration with Civil hospital, Hoshiarpur, successfully organized a vaccination drive at the college campus on 1/04/2021. 160 people of surrounding areas got first dose of vaccine.

Department of Computer Applications Organised an international webinar on the Topic "Analysing COVID data with R" on 18/03/2021. Dr. Bharatendra Rai from Umass Dartmouth , USA was keynote speaker. He explained various packages available in R to explore COVID data thoroughly .

Women Cell and NSS unit of the college organized a national seminar on the topic "Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment" on 31-March-2021. Dr. Jasveera Minhas ,Assocaite Professor from Govt college Hoshiarpur put forth her views on gender equality and emphasized the role of women in present sceneria.

One day Workshop on 04/03/2021 on implementation of social entrepreneurship on swachhata and rural engagement business idea activities was Organised by Science and Environment club of sD College Hoshiarpur in collaboration with SAP coordinator, MGNCRE, Ministry of Education, GOI.

Basant Panchmi was celebrated to worship the Goddess Saraswati on 16/Feb/2021. Goddess Saraswati is considered as the deity of knowledge, music, arts, science and technology worshipped.An Exhibition was organised by the Department of library

NSS unit of the college organised a lecture on the eve of 125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chander Bose on 11 feb 2021. 35 faculty members attended this lecture.

Badminton Match was organised by Department of Physical Education from 2-Feb-2021 to 4-02-2021. 60 students of various classes participated in the match.

NSS, NCC and Red Ribbon unit of college visited phadma village and conducted different activities that included Road safety awareness rally, tree plantation drive and distribution of masks and eco-friendly bags.

The Department of Mathematics, S. D. College, Hoshiarpur organized a 2 day workshop on “Introduction to MATHEMATICAL MODELING” from 3/02/2021-4/2/21. The workshop was conducted to introduce MATHEMATICAL MODELING to students. The workshop was focused on training students with computational software related to MATHEMATICAL MODELING. Around 18(Student 16 teacher 2) participants interestingly participated in the workshop.

Two days glass painting workshop was organised by Ms. Gurleen Kaur of Fashion Designing Department from 02/02/2021 to 03/02/2021. 30 students of various classes participated in the workshop and learnt various techniques to paint on glass.

Poster making competition was organised by department of biotechnology on world leprosy eradication day on 30th January, 2021

The Management,Principal and faculty members hoisted the tri-colour on 26 January.

National Voter's Day was observed on 25 Jan 2021 by Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit of the college. The poster making competition and Seminar was organised with a view to highlight the importance of casting vote. Around 60 students and faculty members took pledge to cast vote fearlessly

Discussion on te importance of republic day was conducted by History Department and Legal Aid club on 25/01/2021. 45 students of different streams participated in it.

The Department of Mathematics, S. D. College, and Hoshiarpur organized a One Day workshop on “WOLFRAM-ALPHA”on18th January, 2021. The main aim to conduct the workshop was to make students familiar with WOLFRAM-ALPHA. Ms. Shilpa was the trainer all through the day. 18 Participants (Teacher 6 Students 12) were present in the event.

National Youth Day was celebrated on 12 Jan 2021 by Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand ji.Dr. Nand Kishor(Principal) delivered a lecture on various challenges faced by Youth in modern scenerio and suggested ways to overcome them

Lohri was celebrated on 13-jan-2021 in the presence of Principal Sir.This festival marks the end of the winter season and is generally thought to welcome the sun to the northern hemisphere

Computer society organized IT Literacy workshop for support staff of college from 11/01/2021 to 28/01/2021. A total of 12 employees of the college learnt basics of computer such as Ms-Word, Windows interface, organizing their works in folders, shortcuts and Ms-paint etc. Internet basics such as surfing internet, creating new mailbox and basic of email such as composing mails, forwarding, replying etc. were told.
